Happy Schools Features

Postcards

Each year, to mark World Teachers’ Day we encourage school leaders to hand write a personal postcard and send it through the post to each teacher (many schools send to all staff). We provide up to 96 postcards each year to member schools. Additional postcards can also be purchased for larger schools.

We are proud that each year our schools have sent over 30 000 handwritten cards of appreciation to their staff.

You’ll be amazed at the positive impact this has.

PS The cards have ten times the impact if the postcards are sent to home addresses rather than being put in pigeon holes.

Staff Well-being posters

Each year we send member schools a set of six full colour, A2 glossy posters focusing on staff well-being. The posters are becoming collector editions with a new series provided each year.

The Happy School Challenge

The Happy School challenge provides a week-by-week program designed to have a positive impact on staff well-being and morale.

The challenge suggests focus areas for staff and leaders, a relevant Happy School article for each week and before and after surveys to benchmark progress and identify areas that frustrate staff and get in the way of having a great day at school.

You’ll be surprised at the impact that can be achieved in one term.

Staff well-being benchmark surveys

Happy School PLUS members can access a quick and easy to administer staff survey to benchmark staff well-being and identify areas that can be improved to enhance the school culture. The instrument can be used for pre and post benchmarking.

The fastest way to improve staff morale and well-being is to identify what gets in the way of a good day at school. Fix whatever we can and acknowledge that we have heard the rest. Some things will be easy to fix and some will take time and additional resources.

Leaders Impact Webinar

Whilst it isn’t the leaders job to fix staff well-being, the number ONE factor in staff morale and well-being is leadership. How staff feel about their leaders is a better indicator of their job satisfaction and engagement than any other factor.

Happy School PLUS members can access a webinar that highlights the impact of leaders and gives practical strategies that are easy to implement.

Personalised implementation strategy call

Happy School PLUS members can access a one-on-one call with Steve Francis, the Founder of the Happy School program, to discuss the needs of their school and the implementation strategy that is likely to work best for their school.
